Build one on ground that's even slightly out of level and the walls fight you, the roof panels refuse to line up, and the doors never close right — not on day one, and worse every season as the shed settles. The proper order is base first, patience second. That means a level foundation — compacted crushed stone, patio slabs or a built lumber frame, depending on the shed and the spot — checked with a level and squared by measuring the diagonals before a single panel clicks together. Resin shed assembly (Keter, Suncast, Lifetime and the like) is genuinely a two-person job: the panels need aligning and supporting at the same time, and forcing a misaligned clip is how kits crack. Wood kits want their first walls square and braced before the rest trusts them. And every shed in a GTA backyard should be anchored, because an empty resin shed in a March windstorm is basically a kite.
